Top 7 of 2017

A monster calls by Patrick Ness

Even though it's such a small book,

you can learn a lot of it.

This is the first book that made me cry-

ever

6

You by Caroline Kepnes

Because it is narrated in 2nd person it was so much more interesting.

You made me realize how much there is to know about a person on the internet.

Just because of social media you can find out if someone has siblings or where they were last night.

Creepy; just like this book

5

Caraval by Stephanie Garber

First of all:

the cover is beautiful!

I'm glad the story came up to the cover.

It kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time.

World building, characters: mesmerizing!

4

Your name. by Makoto Shnikai

Since I watched the movie 3 times before reading the book it was a bit easier for me to know what is happening in the book.

The writing style is stunning but due to the translation (the original book is in Japanese) some parts weren't as funny and I could tell it was "based" (the book was written the same time the movie was produced) on an anime because of the...well "anime language" but that didn't bother me.

And just like the movie the book made me cry as well

3

Milk and honey by Rupi Kaur

I believe this was my first poetry book I read and I want to read more because of it.

milk and honey taught and made me realize so many things I wasn't really aware of.

I am glad to have read this book because of the effects it had/has on me

2

Without Merit by Colleen Hoover

Of course there has to be a Colleen Hoover book in this list.

Although I have read 4 other books by her as well, this was the one which stood out the most to me.

It was different from her other books, but difference is in this case not a bad thing.

I adored it and the message behind it too.

Maybe I enjoyed it so much because I could relate to it more than to for example It ends with us

1

Hunting prince Dracula by

Kerri Maniscalco (SJTR #2)

And number one is HUNTING PRINCE DRACULA

I already loved the first book Stalking Jack the ripper

but the sequel was way better.

Her writing is just amazing and the plot line! I am not going to start with the characters because holy...I don't have any words. (*cough* Thomas Cresswell *cough*)

Make sure to check out this series.

Third book will be released in September and I can't wait!!
